ELITA: Fun Writing with BPS Data

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - The fourth series of Elita (Statistical Education and Literacy) returned on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Titled "Fun Writing with BPS Data," the event was opened by the Acting Head of the Jawa Tengah BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih. The Head of the Undip Statistics Department, Prof. Dr. Drs. Tarno, M.Si., also attended online and delivered remarks.

Tarno stated that with this webinar, he hoped lecturers and students would take advantage of the opportunity to delve deeper into the material with the speakers. The processed and analyzed BPS data could be better communicated verbally and in writing. Furthermore, Endang added that the topic of economic growth is currently a hot topic in the community. Through writing in the mass media, BPS can better educate the public.

Featuring Tri Karjono, an Associate Statistician Expert at the Jawa Tengah BPS, this webinar discussed how writing offers numerous benefits. Through writing, we can impact self-education, inform, educate, offer ideas/concepts/viewpoints, and offer alternative solutions. Enjoyable Writing with Statistical Data involves presenting statistical data in written form using a simple, easy-to-understand style/language.
