To support the implementation of One Data Indonesia and improve the quality of sectoral statistical governance, the Acting Head of the Jawa Tengah Statistics Agency (BPS), Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, held a meeting with the Head of the Jawa Tengah Provincial Communication and Informatics Office, Agung Hariyadi. This meeting was a strategic step in strengthening the collaborative role between agencies, in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 39 of 2019 and the Memorandum of Understanding between BPS and the Jawa Tengah Provincial Government.
The meeting discussed various important aspects, such as the follow-up to the results of the Statistical Development Index (IPS) assessment and the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation (EPSS), as well as preparatory strategies for the 2026 EPSS. Both parties also highlighted the need to improve statistical business processes, complete metadata, and optimize the use of the Jawa Tengah One Data Portal as a central point for documentation and monitoring of statistical activities across all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD).
On this occasion, Endang emphasized BPS's commitment to continuously assisting regional government agencies (OPD) in improving their sectoral statistical capacity. She also encouraged the Communication and Information Technology Office (Diskominfo), as data custodians, and all regional government agencies to actively participate in ensuring the success of the 2026 Economic Census, a major national agenda.
It is hoped that through this close and structured collaboration, the Jawa Tengah Provincial Government can become a role model in the implementation of high-quality, accountable, and highly effective sectoral statistics, in order to realize reliable data governance to support regional development planning and evaluation.
