SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jawa Tengah Province once again held an innovation sharing forum entitled "Pagi Bersama SHINTA (Sharing Inovasi Teknologi Informasi BPS di Jawa Tengah)", which this time raised the topic "Mengulik GELATIK: Gemari Literasi Statistik". The event, which was held online via Zoom Meeting, presented the initiators of the GELATIK innovation from BPS Batang Regency.
GELATIK, an abbreviation of Gemari Literasi Statistik, is an innovative digital platform developed by BPS Batang Regency. This platform presents strategic data from Batang Regency, various BPS public services, and statistical education features in one integrated platform. GELATIK is not only a source of informative data, but also an educational tool to improve public statistical literacy.
In her remarks, the Acting Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, expressed her appreciation for this innovation. She emphasized the importance of making GELATIK an "Inspiring Good Practice" and encouraging all work units to continue to foster a culture of local innovation. Endang also invited participants to utilize knowledge sharing activities such as SHINTA as a concrete step towards real action in public services.
GELATIK is the only innovation from BPS throughout Jawa Tengah that has successfully passed the administrative stage in the 2025 National Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP), which further strengthens its position as a role model for data-based innovation.
The speakers in this activity were the trio "The Magis" who initiated GELATIK, namely Mustofa, Gilang Alip Utama, and Anis Yuliastuti, who are young expert statisticians from BPS Batang Regency. The three of them shared the story behind the birth of GELATIK, the challenges of platform development, and its impact on improving statistical services in their work units.
With the enthusiasm of the participants and support from the leadership, this Morning with SHINTA activity not only strengthened the spirit of collaboration between work units, but also became a strategic stage for the emergence of other innovations in the future.
