Jawa Tengah Non-Oil and Gas Trade Balance Records a Surplus in March 2025

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Jawa Tengah Province once again released a strategic indicator report titled The Development of Exports and Imports of Jawa Tengah, March 2025. The release was presented by the Acting Head of BPS Jawa Tengah, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, on Monday, April 21, 2025, and was broadcast live through the BPS Jawa Tengah YouTube channel.

Based on the report, Jawa Tengah’s non-oil and gas trade balance in March 2025 recorded a surplus, although the overall trade balance still showed a deficit. The export value of Jawa Tengah was recorded at US$1,010.70 million, a decrease of 0.54 percent compared to February 2025. However, compared to March 2024, exports increased by 6.32 percent.

Meanwhile, the import value of Jawa Tengah in March 2025 reached US$1,059.39 million, a decrease of 10.92 percent compared to February 2025, but an increase of 2.33 percent compared to March 2024.

 

The three main destinations for Jawa Tengah’s non-oil and gas exports were the United States, Japan, and China, contributing 59.32 percent to the province’s total non-oil and gas exports during January–March 2025. On the other hand, the top three suppliers of non-oil and gas import goods were China, the United States, and Thailand.

Overall, Jawa Tengah’s trade balance in March 2025 experienced a deficit of US$48.69 million. This deficit was caused by a shortfall in the oil and gas sector amounting to US$437.94 million, while the non-oil and gas sector recorded a surplus of US$389.25 million.
