The trade balance surplus is US $ 3.99 million

The total trade balance surplus occurred again in Central Java in August 2020 amounting to US $ 3.99 million. This is due to the non-oil and gas sector which experienced a surplus of US $ 148.88 million, while the oil and gas sector trade balance experienced a deficit of US $ 144.89 million. The surplus in August is the fourth time this surplus in 2020.

Based on data from the Central Java Province Statistics Agency released on October 1, 2020, it was noted that the total exports of Central Java in August 2020 reached US $ 658.44 million. The three largest non-oil and gas export destination countries in August 2020 include the United States with a value of US $ 228.35 million, followed by Japan with US $ 77.51 million and China with US $ 60.53 million.

The total imports of Central Java in August 2020 reached US $ 654.45 million. The three largest suppliers of non-oil and gas imports during August 2020 were occupied by China with a value of US $ 270.51 million, followed by the United States with US $ 40.28 million and Thailand with US $ 20.26 million.

Central Java's total trade balance can still record a surplus for four consecutive months amid the Covid-19 pandemic, this can be a positive signal that there is still a sense of optimism and hope from business actors.
