Trade balance surplus of US $ 12.34 million
The total trade balance surplus occurred in Central Java again in September 2020 amounting to US $ 12.34 million. This is due to the non-oil and gas sector which experienced a surplus of US $ 154.69 million, while the oil and gas trade balance experienced a deficit of US $ 142.35 million.
The surplus in September is the fifth time this surplus in 2020.
Based on Central Java Province BPS data released on November 2, 2020, it was noted that the total exports of Central Java in September 2020 reached US $ 731.98 million. The three largest non-oil and gas export destination countries in September 2020 include the United States with a value of US $ 247.85 million, followed by Japan with US $ 86.54 million and China with US $ 54.36 million.
The total imports of Central Java in September 2020 reached US $ 719.64 million.
The three largest suppliers of non-oil and gas imports during September 2020 were occupied by China with a value of US $ 273.17 million, followed by South Korea with US $ 35.25 million and the United States with US $ 34.45 million.
Central Java's total trade balance can still record a surplus for five consecutive months amid the Covid-19 pandemic, this can be a positive signal that there is still a sense of optimism and hope from business actors.
