Of the number of Statistical Corners (Potik) that have been established throughout Indonesia, the Potik of the State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga is the first Potik to be built at an Islamic higher education institution. The Statistics Corner, which is located on the 2nd Floor of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) UIN Salatiga, was inaugurated by the Deputy for Methodology and Statistical Information of BPS, Imam Machdi together with Deputy Chancellor 1, Prof. Saerozi on Friday, July 19 2024.
In his inauguration speech, Imam hoped that by building this collaboration facility, it could be utilized not only by students, but also by the entire academic community and the surrounding community. "This Statistics Corner is a fun place to learn statistics. Not only for students, but also the entire academic community and the surrounding community. This place is not just a corner, but has a deeper meaning. It is not only a place to socialize statistical activities produced by BPS, but also "is a place for collaboration in the development of broader statistics," he said.
Also present at the inauguration of Potik were the Main Inspector of BPS, Dadang Hardiwan, the Director of Statistical Dissemination, Dwi Retno Wilujeng Wahyu Utami, and the Head of BPS for Central Java Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih.
