Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id — BPS of Jawa Tengah Province continues to strengthen its commitment to transforming data into comprehensive and accessible information for the public. This strategic effort was carried out through a training session for Statistics Agents of the Statistics Corner at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), held at the 5th Floor Hall of the BPS of Jawa Tengah Province office on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The intensive training was specifically designed to enhance the agents’ technical capacity to present statistical indicators through digital media, particularly videographic content.

Head of BPS of Jawa Tengah Province, Dr. Ali Said, emphasized the importance of continuous data education amid the disruption of information in the digital era. According to him, Statistics Agents play a crucial role as a communication bridge between BPS and the academic community, helping break the perception that statistical data is complicated. A similar message was conveyed by Head of the Department of Statistics at UNDIP, Dr. Budi Warsito, M.Si., who expressed appreciation for the ongoing collaboration as a means of strengthening students’ practical competencies while encouraging academics to play an active role in promoting data literacy.

During the technical session, speaker Minanur Rohman equipped participants with methodologies for creating statistical promotional videos, covering the fundamentals of cinematography, insight-oriented script development, and visual editing techniques. The activity concluded with a simulation to create 30–90-second videographic content based on macroeconomic data from Jawa Tengah.

Through this structured capacity-building program, BPS of Jawa Tengah Province and UNDIP are optimistic that they can foster a digital ecosystem that is not only rich in data, but also adaptive and capable of providing added value to the community.
