BPS of Jawa Tengah Province Holds 2026 SHBJ and SSB Data Collection Training

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id — BPS of Jawa Tengah Province held the 2026 Training on the Collection of Goods and Services Price Units (Satuan Harga Barang dan Jasa/SHBJ) and Standard Cost Units (Satuan Standar Biaya/SSB) on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the BPS of Jawa Tengah Province office. The training was officially opened by Ika Budi Ambaryanti, Coordinator of the BPS of Jawa Tengah Province Planning Team.

The training served as a preparatory stage prior to the implementation of the 2026 SHBJ and SSB data collection. It aimed to provide field officers with a common understanding of the concepts, definitions, scope, and procedures for data collection in accordance with the established guidelines. In addition, the data collection is intended to provide goods and services price data required by the Ministry of Finance as one of the inputs for the preparation of the Standard Input Costs.

The 2026 SHBJ and SSB data collection will be conducted from October 5 to 30, 2026. The resulting data are expected to provide accurate, relevant, and accountable information on goods and services prices and standard costs, thereby supporting the government's planning and budgeting processes.

The data collection will involve four Statistics Partners from BPS Kota Semarang as field enumerators and three supervisors from BPS of Jawa Tengah Province. The enumerators will collect data using the prescribed instruments and guidelines, while the supervisors will monitor and oversee the process to ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain the quality of the resulting data.

Through the training, all officers are expected to develop a common understanding of the data collection mechanism, enabling them to carry out their duties effectively and produce data that are accurate, complete, timely, and accountable.

The training featured technical sessions, discussions on the data collection instruments, an introduction to and hands-on practice using the FASIH application based on Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) for recording and entering data collection results, as well as discussions and question-and-answer sessions. This preparation is expected to equip the officers to conduct the SHBJ and SSB data collection in the field in accordance with the established guidelines and schedule.
