BPS Jawa Tengah Province Conducts Regional Instructor Training for the February 2026 Sakernas

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id – The BPS Jawa Tengah Province (Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah) conducted Regional Instructor (Inda) Training for the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) for the February 2026 period. The training was held online from January 6 to 12, 2026, and was preceded by a self-learning phase through a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

The training was officially opened by Harjo Teguh Ilmiana, Senior Statistician and Head of the Social Statistics Indicator Working Team of BPS Jawa Tengah Province. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the crucial role of Regional Instructors in ensuring the smooth implementation and quality of the February 2026 Sakernas.

Several National Instructors were present as resource persons, namely Erli Widhi Astuti, Asna Mega Prabandari, Yuli Purwitasari, and Dwi Agus Wahyu Riyadi. The instructors provided reinforcement on concepts, methodology, and technical aspects of Sakernas implementation, which will later be conveyed by the Regional Instructors to field officers.

Sakernas is a survey designed to continuously collect labor force data. The data produced are widely used for development planning, monitoring, and evaluation, particularly in the employment sector. Sakernas generates key indicators such as the number of employed persons, unemployment, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), and the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) down to the regency/city level. Sakernas indicators are also utilized for monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

In his direction, Harjo Teguh encouraged prospective Regional Instructors to participate seriously in all stages of the training, make optimal use of the WARKOP Learning Management System (LMS), and treat this training as valuable preparation and experience for conducting Sakernas field officer training at BPS regency/city offices.
