Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id — BPS Jawa Tengah Province opened the Regional Instructor (Inda) Training on Establishing the Geospatial Framework and Statistical Work Area (Wilkerstat) Content for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) on Thursday (August 27, 2026). The activity is an important stage in ensuring that the geospatial framework and Wilkerstat content used throughout the SE2026 series accurately reflect the latest conditions in the field.
The training is being conducted online through the Learning Management System (LMS) and is attended by 39 participants, consisting of two National Instructors (Innas), 35 Inda participants from regencies/municipalities, one Class Manager, and one Learning Partner. The training series includes self-paced learning or a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from August 27–31, 2026, followed by Distance Learning (PJJ) on September 1–2, 2026.
In his remarks at the opening of the training, Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Ali Said, emphasized that establishing the geospatial framework and Wilkerstat content is a continuation of the results of field identification concerning regional conditions and changes in Local Environmental Units (Satuan Lingkungan Setempat/SLS) carried out during the SE2026 field activities.
“The information that has been collected needs to be processed and followed up so that it can become part of an up-to-date geospatial framework and Wilkerstat master data that reflect the latest conditions in the field,” Ali said.
Ali explained that the activity aims to produce an up-to-date geospatial framework in accordance with field conditions during SE2026, while also obtaining Wilkerstat master data and content that have been adjusted to the latest conditions. He also urged participants to understand not only the technical aspects, but also the workflows, concepts, rationale, and standards applied at each stage. This is necessary to ensure consistency from one stage to the next and to produce high-quality data and maps.
Ali expressed his hope that the training would be interactive and effective, enabling participants to absorb the materials thoroughly and use the knowledge gained as a foundation for transferring it to map-processing officers at the regency/municipality level. He also encouraged the training to serve as a forum for exchanging ideas, aligning understanding, and improving the implementation of the SE2026 Geospatial Framework and Wilkerstat Content Establishment activities.
“Ensure that every process is carried out carefully, in accordance with standards, and in an accountable manner,” Ali emphasized. He expressed his hope that collaboration among all parties would produce an up-to-date, high-quality geospatial framework and Wilkerstat content that accurately reflect field conditions and support the implementation of SE2026.
This training is part of BPS’s efforts to maintain the quality of the regional framework that serves as a foundation for the 2026 Economic Census. With an up-to-date geospatial framework and Wilkerstat content, subsequent enumeration stages and statistical activities are expected to be carried out with more accurate geographic coverage and workload allocation.
