Strengthening Sectoral Statistics, BPS Jawa Tengah Province Assists the Cooperatives and SMEs Office

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id – BPS Jawa Tengah Province conducted a Coordination and Capacity Building activity on Sectoral Statistics with the Cooperatives and SMEs Office of Jawa Tengah Province on Monday, July 27, 2026. The activity was attended by Iman Teguh Raharto, Head of the Sectoral Statistics Team of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, along with the team and officials from the Cooperatives and SMEs Office of Jawa Tengah Province.

The activity aimed to strengthen the implementation of sectoral statistics through assistance in submitting Statistical Activity Recommendation (Romantik) proposals, implementing Statistical Data Standards, preparing statistical metadata, and supporting the implementation of the National Statistical System (SSN) and One Data Indonesia.

During the discussion session, BPS Jawa Tengah Province provided guidance on the importance of registering all statistical activities as sectoral statistics, conducting them in accordance with the statistical business process, and documenting and publishing the results to produce high-quality, accurate, and reliable data that can serve as a basis for evidence-based policymaking.

Through this collaboration, the Cooperatives and SMEs Office of Jawa Tengah Province is expected to be better prepared to improve the quality of sectoral statistics implementation, including submitting Statistical Activity Recommendation proposals for the 2027 implementation period. This initiative will help ensure that data on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) become more reliable in supporting data-driven development.
