SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id – The BPS (Statistics Indonesia) of Jawa Tengah Province held the 2026 Sectoral Statistics Development Series 4, featuring the theme "Statistical Business Processes." The event was conducted online via Zoom on Thursday, July 16, 2026, and attended by representatives of the Regional Government Agencies (OPD) of the Jawa Tengah Provincial Government as producers of sectoral statistical data, aiming to enhance their understanding of standardized and quality statistical activities. The event was officially opened by the Team Leader of Sectoral Statistics at BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Iman Teguh Raharto. In his remarks, Iman Teguh Raharto stated that statistical business processes serve as a crucial foundation for producing high-quality data. Implementing a structured and standardized business process will yield accurate, consistent, and accountable data, thereby supporting data-driven development planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. He also emphasized the importance of adopting the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM) framework in every stage of sectoral statistics implementation. By applying sound business processes, data producers are expected to improve the quality of statistical activity planning, data collection, data processing and analysis, as well as the effective and efficient dissemination of statistical results. The Series 4 Sectoral Statistics Development featured materials on Statistical Business Processes, SIPESAT, and Statistical Literacy, followed by an interactive discussion and Q&A session with the participants. Through this activity, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of conducting sectoral statistics according to standard principles, enabling them to produce high-quality, easily integrated data that can be optimally utilized in public policy formulation. Through this sustainable Sectoral Statistics Development, BPS Jawa Tengah Province is committed to strengthening the capacity of sectoral statistical data producers within the Jawa Tengah Provincial Government. This effort is expected to support the realization of better data governance, reinforce the implementation of Satu Data Indonesia (One Data Indonesia), and produce quality sectoral statistics as a foundation for targeted policy-making.
