Central Java Forkopimda Meeting 2026: Maintain Stability, Anticipate Pre-Eid Inflation Risks
March 9, 2026 | Other Activities
Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id – Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Jawa Tengah Province held a coordination meeting themed “Maintaining the Stability of the Jawa Tengah Region in Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 2026” on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Semarang. The meeting was chaired by the Governor of Jawa Tengah, Ahmad Luthfi, and attended by members of the Jawa Tengah Forkopimda, Regional Government Organizations (OPD) of Jawa Tengah Province, Regents/Mayors across Jawa Tengah, as well as other stakeholders.
On this occasion, the Head of BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Jawa Tengah Province, Ali Said, accompanied by the Head of the Price and Distribution Statistics Team of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Wisnu Nurdiyanto, attended as speakers presenting a topic titled “Inflation and the Current Conditions in Jawa Tengah in Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 2026.” The presentation highlighted the potential inflationary pressure in March 2026, particularly ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Historically, peak inflation tends to occur during the month when Eid al-Fitr takes place, driven by a sharp increase in household consumption demand, rising transportation fares during the homecoming (mudik) season, and psychological market effects such as price speculation by traders due to expectations of higher demand.
Through this Forkopimda Coordination Meeting, it is expected that stronger synergy among institutions will be established to ensure that the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably, while also increasing public awareness and encouraging security authorities to work together in maintaining safety and public order during Eid al-Fitr 2026.Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Jawa Tengah Province held a coordination meeting themed “Maintaining the Stability of the Jawa Tengah Region in Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 2026” on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building, Semarang.
