Simultaneous GRDP Consultation: Align Data for More Accurate Planning

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Economic growth has always been a key indicator reflecting the development dynamics of a region. Amid the growing demand for fast, accurate, and relevant data, BPS continues to strengthen the quality of macroeconomic statistics compilation, including the Quarterly Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Accurate GRDP compilation relies not only on the availability of quality data but also on human resource competency, methodological precision, and harmonization of figures across regions so that the results can be effectively used as a basis for development planning and evaluation.

On 20–21 November 2025, BPS Provinsi Jawa Tengah held the Simultaneous Consultation for the Compilation of Regency/Municipal GRDP for the Third Quarter of 2025 in Semarang City. The event was opened by the Acting Head of BPS Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, and attended by Heads of BPS Regency/Municipal Offices, as well as the Persons in Charge (PJK) for GRDP by Industry and GRDP by Expenditure.

The process of data reconciliation and alignment was led by the Head of the Economic and Analysis Team of BPS Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Didik Nursetyohadi. This agenda served as an important collaborative forum to ensure the consistency, validity, and comparability of GRDP figures across regions, thereby supporting the production of credible statistics for local governments and other stakeholders.

With the implementation of this consultation, the quality of quarterly GRDP compilation in Jawa Tengah is expected to be further strengthened and better able to address the ongoing challenges of macroeconomic data needs.
