Tel-U Students Learn Big Data at BPS Jawa Tengah

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jawa Tengah Province received a visit from students of the Data Science Undergraduate Program at Telkom University Purwokerto (Tel-U) in a Statistical Tour on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The group of students led by Aina Latifa Riyana Putri, a Lecturer in the Data Science Study Program, was welcomed by the Head of General Affairs at BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Joko Suwarjo. In his direction, Joko conveyed the role of big data in statistics and the role of the Statistics Corner in improving student literacy.

Tel-U students listened to the material on the Implementation of Big Data at BPS Jawa Tengah Province presented by Hermawan Prasetyo, a Young Expert Computer Technician at BPS Jawa Tengah Province. The discussion was interactive with students' enthusiasm in the question and answer session. The activity also presented the statistical services provided by BPS Jawa Tengah Province to meet the needs of data users.
