BPS Supports National Food Self-Sufficiency

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Acting Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih accompanied by BPS Jawa Tengah Middle Expert Statistician, Sri Diastuti and Head of BPS Sukoharjo Regency, Nurul Choiriyati attended the simultaneous harvest event in Sukoharjo Regency which was held in Ngombakan Village, Polokarto District, Monday (7/4/2025).

The harvest event in Sukoharjo, which is a series of Simultaneous Harvest events in 14 Provinces and 156 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia, together with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, which was centered in West Java, was attended directly by the Governor of Jawa Tengah, Ahmad Luthfi and accompanied by the Regent of Sukoharjo, Etik Suryani.

"Jawa Tengah is a national food barn, this is in line with the policy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The provincial and local governments cannot stand alone. There are Kodam, Polda, Bulog, BPS, and all stakeholders, who support this food self-sufficiency activity. I am sure we are capable," explained Luthfi in his speech.

This mass harvest activity was also attended by elements of the Forkopimda of Jawa Tengah Province and Sukoharjo Regency, the Ministry of Agriculture, Perum Bulog Pusat and the Head of the relevant Department and Agency.
