Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id — The implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) continues to be strengthened through collaboration with various stakeholders. On Friday, July 31, 2026, BPS of Jawa Tengah Province conducted the SE2026 Socialization and Ngisi Bareng (Ngibar) Questionnaire Session in collaboration with Kodam IV/Diponegoro at the military command headquarters.

The event began with a welcome address by Lieutenant Colonel (Czi) Soelapa, Assistant Officer for Facilities and Construction, Logistics Staff of Kodam IV/Diponegoro, who reaffirmed the institution’s full support for the implementation of SE2026 and its commitment to working closely with BPS to ensure the success of the census.

In his keynote speech, the Head of BPS of Jawa Tengah Province, Dr. Ali Said, M.A., explained that SE2026 is a comprehensive census of all business establishments in Indonesia, conducted once every ten years, with field operations continuing through the end of August 2026. He emphasized that SE2026 is a vital part of BPS’s mandate to provide high-quality basic statistics for development planning, policy evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making. He also highlighted the broad scope of the census, which covers a wide range of economic activities, including agriculture, mining and quarrying, manufacturing, construction, trade, transportation, accommodation and food services, health, education, and various service industries, encompassing both incorporated and unincorporated businesses.

Through the Ngibar session, BPS provided hands-on assistance to business operators in completing the SE2026 questionnaire, making the self-enumeration process easier, faster, more accurate, and more efficient while ensuring the production of high-quality data. The 2026 Economic Census is not solely the responsibility of BPS but a national agenda that requires the active participation and support of all stakeholders.

BPS of Jawa Tengah Province expressed its appreciation for the support and collaboration of Kodam IV/Diponegoro. This partnership is expected to further strengthen the production of high-quality official statistics as a foundation for a resilient national economy and a more advanced and prosperous Indonesia.
