BPS Jawa Tengah Opens Regional Instructor Training for the August 2026 National Labor Force Survey

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id – BPS Jawa Tengah Province officially opened the Regional Instructor (Inda) Training for the August 2026 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in an online session on Monday, 6 July 2026. The training marks an important step in preparing instructors who will oversee the implementation of Sakernas across all regencies and municipalities in Jawa Tengah, ensuring the production of high-quality employment statistics.

A total of 118 prospective Regional Instructors from BPS regency and municipal offices throughout Jawa Tengah participated in the training. Participants will receive comprehensive instruction on Sakernas concepts, definitions, methodology, and implementation procedures, equipping them to train field officers in their respective regions.

The training was officially opened by the Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Dr. Ali Said, M.A. In his remarks, Ali Said emphasized that the August 2026 Sakernas presents greater challenges than previous rounds. In addition to the increased sample size required to produce estimates at the regency and municipality level, the survey will also be conducted simultaneously with the 2026 Economic Census.

Despite the challenge of implementing two major national statistical activities at the same time, Ali Said expressed confidence that all BPS offices across Jawa Tengah would be able to carry out both successfully. He encouraged participants to actively engage in the training, participate in discussions, and fully understand the materials so they can effectively train field officers. According to him, the quality of statistical data largely depends on field officers' understanding of survey concepts and enumeration procedures. Therefore, Regional Instructors play a strategic role in ensuring that training materials are delivered consistently and comprehensively.

The training is delivered by six National Instructors (Innas) who previously completed the August 2026 Sakernas National Instructor Training: Erli Widhi Astuti, Meryanti Sri Wulandari, Eva Dian Widyastutie, Asna Mega Prabandari, Linggar Farah Hesti, and Muhammad Hanief. They will provide both conceptual and technical materials while sharing practical experience and best practices to ensure a consistent and comprehensive understanding among all prospective Regional Instructors.

The August 2026 Regional Instructor Training is expected to produce professional and competent instructors capable of overseeing the survey in accordance with established standards. Ultimately, the survey is expected to generate accurate and high-quality employment statistics that reflect labor market conditions down to the regency and municipality level, providing a reliable basis for more targeted development policies.
