Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id - The Central Java Provincial Government held the Third Quarter 2025 Regional Economic Forum (FER) with the theme "Strengthening Financing Schemes and Fiscal Policy Synergy to Accelerate Agricultural Productivity and Food Security in Central Java," held in the Meeting Room of the Central Java Governor's Office on Thursday (10/30).

The event was opened by Sujarwanto Dwiatmoko, Assistant for Economics and Development of the Central Java Provincial Secretary. In his remarks, Sujarwanto emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening regional food security, particularly through strengthening access to financing and fiscal policies that favor agricultural productivity.

"Agriculture and food are strategic sectors that not only support the Central Java economy but also serve as the foundation of national resilience. Concrete steps are needed to strengthen financing for this sector, including support from financial institutions and policy synergy between agencies," said Sujarwanto.

This event was attended by all members of the Central Java Regional Economic Forum, including representatives from Bank Indonesia, Customs and Excise, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), expert economists, and the Central Java Provincial Statistics Agency (BPS).

On this occasion, the Acting Head of the Central Java Provincial BPS, Endang, presented the current economic conditions, inflation developments, and several indicators contributing to inflation movements in Central Java. He emphasized that policy synergy between agencies is crucial for maintaining regional economic stability.

Furthermore, Endang also emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in ensuring the success of the 2026 Economic Census, which will serve as the basis for formulating more accurate and adaptive regional economic development policies.

As part of this forum, an agreement was also signed between the Central Java Provincial Food Security Office and the Low Carbon Rice (LCR) Rice Milling Unit (RMU) and the Regionally-Owned Food Enterprise (BUMD) PT. JTAB. This agreement represents a strategic step in strengthening the regional food security ecosystem through the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies and increasing sustainable production capacity.

This forum serves as an important platform for economic stakeholders to strengthen coordination and formulate strategic steps to promote inclusive, sustainable, and resilient economic growth in the face of global challenges.
