SRAGEN, jateng.bps.go.id -The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is currently implementing the Area Sample Framework Survey (KSA) activity, a data collection method based on field observations to strengthen statistical accuracy in the national agricultural sector. KSA aims to produce estimates of rice and corn harvest areas with a more objective method, replacing observations based on eye estimates.
As part of monitoring the activity, the Acting Head of the Jawa Tengah Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, conducted a direct review of the Rice KSA segment located in the Pilangsari Village area, Ngrampal District, Sragen Regency, on Friday (4/25/2025).
The implementation in the field was carried out by the KSA Team from the Sragen Regency BPS, chaired by Doni Hermawan. This monitoring activity was also attended by the Head of the Sragen Regency BPS, Eko Sugiharto, who accompanied the activities at the location.
During the review, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih ensured that all stages of KSA, starting from segment identification, taking observation photos, recording plant phases, to checking and approving data, were carried out in accordance with technical guidelines. She also emphasized the importance of accuracy and integrity in the implementation of KSA to produce accurate and accountable agricultural data.
"The data we produce today will be the basis for future national policies, especially in the field of food security. Therefore, the implementation of KSA must be truly accurate, consistent, and transparent," said Endang while talking to field officers.
This monitoring activity is part of BPS's efforts to maintain data quality while providing direct motivation to the implementing team in the regions. The BPS KSA Team of Sragen Regency itself stated that it is ready to carry out all stages of activities until completion, in accordance with the predetermined time target.
