The percentage of poor people in Jawa Tengah Province fell by 0.89 points

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id -The Jawa Tengah Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released strategic indicators on Wednesday, January 15 2025 in the 5th Floor Hall of Jawa Tengah Province BPS. The release was delivered by the Head of Jawa Tengah Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih and attended by the Acting Regional Secretary of Jawa Tengah Province, Ema Rachmawati. The release was also attended by Heads of Services/Agencies or representatives within the Jawa Tengah Province.

The export value of Jawa Tengah in December 2024 was US$980.39 million or an increase of 1.91 percent compared to exports in November 2024. The value of Jawa Tengah's imports in December 2024 was US$1,364.89 million or an increase of 42.29 percent compared to imports in November 2024. Jawa Tengah's trade balance in December 2024 was a deficit of US$384.50 million. The oil and gas trade balance experienced a deficit of US$647.12 million, while the non-oil and gas trade balance experienced a surplus of US$262.62 million.

The percentage of poor people in Jawa Tengah Province in September 2024 is 9.58 percent. Decreased by 0.89 percentage points compared to conditions in March 2024. The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at IDR 521,093/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 392,697/capita/month (75.36 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 128,396/capita/month (24.64 percent).

In September 2024, the level of expenditure inequality among the Jawa Tengah population as measured using the Gini ratio will be 0.364. This figure decreased by 0.003 points when compared to the Gini ratio in March 2024 which was 0.367.
