Jawa Tengah Province Rice Harvest Area in 2020 Increases

In 2020, the rice harvest area in Central Java is expected to increase.

Based on the results of the Area Sampling Framework (KSA) survey which is carried out every month, the harvested area for rice in Central Java in 2020 is estimated to be 1,684.75 thousand hectares, an increase of 6.27 thousand hectares compared to 2019.

Meanwhile, rice production in Central Java in 2020 is estimated at 9.59 million tons of GKG, a decrease of 68.74 thousand tons compared to 2019

In addition to the movement of harvested area and rice production, the results of the Area Sampling Framework (KSA) also recorded a shift in the peak of the harvest. The peak of the rice harvest in Central Java in 2020 occurred in April, while the peak of the rice harvest in 2019 occurred in March.
