According to the Oslo Manual (2015) innovation is a new product or process or product improvement / process that is significantly different from those produced previously that have been marketed or have been implemented by the company

This innovation is what the Business Characteristics Survey wants to capture, there have been many innovations that have been made by entrepreneurs, what types of innovations have been made, and which improvements can be made from innovation can be clearly captured in the BCS survey

The BCS survey was conducted simultaneously in August with a total of 819 samples spread throughout the City District in Central Java
