In knowledge management, it is known the concept of DIKW which distinguishes the meaning of the term data (D), information (I, information), knowledge (K, knowledge) and wisdom (W, wisdom). The process of change between the four elements is obtained through a process of understanding. Data becomes information through understanding relationships. Information becomes knowledge through understanding patterns. Knowledge becomes wisdom through understanding principles. This concept was conveyed by the Head of the Ministry of Communication and Information Statistics, Ir. Arif Boedijanto, M.Sc at the opening ceremony of the Jawa Tengah Statistical Data Technical Guidance 2019 at the Laras Asri Hotel Salatiga (28/3). In the technical guidance event which was held from March 28 to 299, Arif said that during the preparation of planning documents, it often only displayed data and graphics and had not reached the stage of making conclusions from existing data, and could not even be used as a reference for policy strategies leader.
Three people from BPS Jawa Tengah Province, which had the opportunity to share knowledge at the bimtek event, was Rio Basunindya Gunawan, S.ST (Head of Statistics Services Dissemination Section) and two speakers from the Social Statistics Sector, Yoyok Cahyo Nugroho, S.ST, M.Ec.Dev and Meryanti Sri Wulandari, SST, M.Sc.
The event was opened by the Head of the Diskominfo Jawa Tengah, Riena Retnaningrum, S.H was followed by Diskominfo of Jawa Tengah District / City and OPDs Jawa Tengah Province.
