Abstract

The Central Java Gender Inequality Index (IKG) for 2022 is 0.371, down 0.006 points compared to 2021 which was 0.377. Particularly influenced by the dimensions of reproductive health and the dimensions of the labor market.
  • The improvement in the reproductive health dimension was influenced by the improvement in the indicators of ever-married women aged 15-49 who were less than 20 years old at their first live birth (MHPK20). This indicator has decreased from 26.7 percent in 2021 to 26.4 percent in 2022.
  • The improvement in the dimension of empowerment was influenced by the improvement in the indicator that the percentage of women 25 years and over with senior high school education and above increased higher than that of men
