Abstract

In September 2022, a combination of six cities in Central Java experienced inflation of 1.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.78. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.
  • The main cause of inflation in September 2022 is the increase in the price of gasoline, rice, diesel, inter-city transportation, and housing contracts. The main driver of inflation is the decline in the price of air transportation, shallots, broiler meat, gold jewelry, and cinemas.
  • The September 2022 calendar year inflation rate is 5.11 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2022 to September 2021) is 6.40 percent.
