Rice Production and Crops (Forecast Figures II 2014)

Based on Forecast Figures (ARAM) II, in 2014 the rice production in Central Java Province was estimated at 9.64 million tons of dry unhusked rice (paddy). Rice production was decreased by 6.84 percent (707.85 thousand tonnes) when it compared to Fixed figures (ROOF) 2013 which amounted to 10.34 million tons. The decrease in rice production was affected by the decrease in harvest area of 50.91 thousand hectares from 1.84 million hectares in 2013 to 1.79 million hectares in 2014 or it was decreased by 2.76 percent.
