FGD on the Finalization of Jawa Tengah in Figures 2026 Strengthens Sectoral Statistics Synergy

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id – Synergy among institutions is key to delivering accurate and reliable development data. BPS Jawa Tengah Province held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Finalization of Jawa Tengah in Figures (DDA) 2026 on 11–12 February 2026 at the BPS Jawa Tengah Province Hall. The event was officially opened by the Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Ali Said, and attended by Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), vertical agencies, as well as State-Owned and Regionally-Owned Enterprises at the Jawa Tengah provincial level.

In his remarks, Ali Said emphasized that the Jawa Tengah in Figures publication is not merely an annual report, but a reflection of social, economic, and development conditions in Jawa Tengah. The data presented in the publication serve as a primary reference for stakeholders, including government institutions, academics, businesses, and the wider community.

He also highlighted the importance of sectoral statistics synergy in the data finalization process. Harmonization of concepts, definitions, coverage, reference periods, and units of measurement is necessary to ensure consistency and avoid discrepancies in interpretation. Through this forum, sectoral data were jointly discussed and verified to ensure consistency across tables and readiness before being designated as final data.

Based on data collection progress as of 11 February 2026, out of 489 target tables to be compiled, 43 tables had not yet been submitted to BPS Jawa Tengah Province. Therefore, the commitment of all data-producing institutions is essential to ensure that the finalization process can be completed on time and in accordance with quality standards.

This FGD also served as a momentum to strengthen coordination, enhance data quality and validity, and ensure that data handover is conducted formally by each institution. The agreed-upon data will later become a shared reference in official publications and be used consistently by all related institutions.

Through this activity, it is expected that the Jawa Tengah in Figures 2026 publication will be realized as an official statistical information source that is accurate, transparent, and accountable, while supporting more targeted development decision-making in Jawa Tengah.
