BPS Jawa Tengah Presents Strategic Indicators for Christmas and New Year

December 8, 2025 | Other Activities

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id – The Provincial Government of Jawa Tengah held a Coordination Meeting of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Gradhika Bhakti Praja. The meeting, led by the Governor of Jawa Tengah, Ahmad Luthfi, carried the theme “Maintaining Stability in Jawa Tengah in Welcoming Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026.”

During the event, the Acting Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, attended and delivered a presentation on the latest strategic indicators of Jawa Tengah. The presentation covered data on regional inflation trends, price movements of essential commodities, mobility trends of the population, and the potential increase in economic activity ahead of the year-end holiday season.

The role of BPS in this forum is crucial, as the availability of accurate statistical data serves as a basis for government policymaking in maintaining regional stability. The data presented is used as a reference for local governments and security authorities in determining anticipatory measures, including strengthening food distribution and regulating transportation flows.

Endang emphasized that regular statistical monitoring is key to detecting potential social vulnerabilities and price spikes that may affect the community. Therefore, BPS is committed to providing quick, accurate, and easily accessible data to support public policy. Through cross-agency synergy, including BPS data contributions, the government is optimistic about maintaining regional stability in welcoming Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026.
