Turning Numbers Into Stories Through ELITA

Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id - The BPS Jawa Tengah Province (Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah) once again collaborated with the Statistics Corner of Diponegoro University (Undip) in ELITA, Statistical Education and Literacy for Excellent Students Series 7, held on Thursday, November 27, 2025. This session carried the theme “From Numbers to Stories: Effective Techniques for Presenting Statistical Data.”

ELITA Series 7 was opened by the Head of the Sectoral Statistics Team of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Iman Teguh Raharto, representing the Acting Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province. Iman also delivered the keynote speech, highlighting the importance of statistical data for academics and the need for proper data presentation to convey meaningful insights.

The event was attended by lecturers and students from Undip as well as other universities. Held online, the program featured Minanur Rohman, a First Expert Statistician at BPS Jawa Tengah Province, as the main speaker. Minan shared tips and tricks on transforming data into stories through effective infographic design.
