The Role of Human Resource Quality in Jawa Tengah Province Development Planning

SEMARANG,jateng.bps.go.id - The Jawa Tengah Provincial BAPPEDA held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Draft Regional Regulation of Jawa Tengah Province concerning the 2025-2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) at the Jawa Tengah Provincial Inspectorate Office on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

In order to accelerate the preparation of the Draft Regional Regulation on the RPJMD, the Special Committee (Pansus) of the Jawa Tengah Provincial DPRD continued its discussion. This time, the Pansus highlighted the development of the quality of human resources (HR). The FGD activity was opened by the Chairperson of the Pansus, Ferry Wawan Cahyono, and discussed the direction of transformation of the realization of health and education for HR with superior character. In addition, poverty and the human capital index were also discussed.

Present as a resource person, Plt. Head of the Jawa Tengah Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih. In her presentation, quoting a statement from the World Bank, Endang said that in calculating poverty rates, especially in Jawa Tengah, the method used by BPS is more relevant. Endang also said that collaboration in the implementation of Sectoral Statistics plays an important role in poverty alleviation and human resource quality development in Jawa Tengah Province.
