BPS Deputy for Social Statistics Visits Central Java, Emphasizes the Importance of Data Communication

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - The Deputy for Social Statistics of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Ateng Hartono, conducted a working visit to the BPS of Central Java Province on Friday, June 20, 2025. On that occasion, Ateng provided direct direction to all employees within the BPS of Central Java Province.

In his direction, Ateng emphasized that BPS's current challenges are not only in the aspect of data quality, but also in how the data is communicated to the public effectively.

"Now it's not just data quality, but more about how we communicate the data," said Ateng in front of the employees.

According to Ateng, good data communication will strengthen BPS's role in making evidence-based policies and increase public trust in BPS data.

After giving his direction, Ateng continued his next agenda by attending the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding housing and settlements at the Central Java Governor's Office. This MoU is expected to strengthen cooperation between institutions in providing accurate data and information for planning the development of the housing sector in the region.
