Acting Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih, supervised the activities of the 2025 Intercensal Population Census (SUPAS) in Magelang Regency on Tuesday, June 18, 2025. This visit aims to ensure that the implementation of SUPAS runs smoothly and in accordance with operational standards in the field.
SUPAS is a strategic activity carried out by BPS every ten years between two major Population Censuses. SUPAS 2025 itself is implemented nationally from June 11 to July 31, 2025. This activity aims to obtain data on important demographic indicators such as birth rates, deaths, and migration—which are the main components in calculating Indonesia's population projections.
"This SUPAS is very important for formulating appropriate population policies. We ask for active community participation in supporting the smooth running of data collection," said Endang while reviewing the implementation in the field.
Endang also invited the public to support SUPAS 2025 by accepting the presence of census officers and providing honest and complete answers.
Data collected from SUPAS will be an important foundation for the central and regional governments in formulating development programs based on population data.
With this supervision, it is hoped that the quality of data produced from SUPAS 2025 will be more accurate, complete, and reliable for Indonesia's future development.
