SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the important pillars of the Jawa Tengah economy which have a big role in increasing people's income, reducing unemployment and encouraging economic growth. As an effort to maintain, anticipate and seek stimulants in the development of MSMEs, the Head of the Jawa Tengah Province Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Service, Eddy Sulistiyo Bramiyanto, visited Jawa Tengah Province BPS to discuss the development of Jawa Tengah MSMEs, on Monday, February 10 2025.
Eddy said that collaboration between the Jawa Tengah Province Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Service and the Jawa Tengah Province Central Statistics Agency was very necessary to encourage the creation of a single database of Cooperatives and MSMEs that could provide factual information.
Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih welcomed this discussion and said that BPS Jawa Tengah Province is always open to providing information to all parties. In relation to MSMEs, Endang explained that based on business scale, the largest number of MSMEs in Jawa Tengah are in the processing industry sector as well as the wholesale and retail trade sectors, where these two sectors are the largest contributors to Jawa Tengah's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP).
It is hoped that this discussion will have a positive impact regarding the future development of MSMEs in Jawa Tengah.
