BPS Takes Part in Alleviating Poverty in Jawa Tengah

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - Poverty is a complex problem in terms of causes and impacts on people's lives. To support regional poverty reduction strategies, BPS contributes to providing accurate and targeted poverty data.

Thursday, 24 October 2024 Head of BPS Jawa Tengah Province, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih was present as a resource person in the FGD Identification of Strategic Issues and Poverty Problems for Central Java Province which was organized by the Bappeda of Jawa Tengah Province. Also present were resource persons from Diponegoro University (Wahyu Widodo), moderator (M Bajang Ahmadi) as an expert on poverty alleviation from the Jawa Tengah Province Bappeda, as well as academics, community organizations, business groups and related OPDs.

In this FGD, BPS data becomes a reference in identifying poverty problems based on the characteristics of the people of Jawa Tengah as an effort to overcome poverty in 2025-2029.
