Filter Before Sharing, Accurate Data, Precise Information

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - BPS of Jawa Tengah Province strives to become a public body that implements public information transparency. BPS as a provider of basic statistical data that produces strategic indicators and presents statistical data analysis always strives to ensure that the resulting publicity is accurate and reflects the actual conditions.

In order to prevent hoax information, BPS of Jawa Tengah Province held an Anti-Hoax Socialization of BPS of Jawa Tengah Province with the theme Filter Before Sharing, Accurate Data, Precise Information, on Monday, August 12, 2024 in the 5th Floor Hall of BPS of Jawa Tengah Province. The material was delivered by a resource person from the Communication and Informatics Office of Jawa Tengah Province, Danang Tri Hermawan.

In his presentation, Danang conveyed the definition of hoax, characteristics of hoax, tips for fighting hoax, tips for dealing with people who spread hoaxes, and Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE). The activity was carried out interactively, with discussions on several questions from BPS employees of Jawa Tengah Province.
