Shallots to Tomatoes Become the Main Commodities Contributing to Deflation in Jawa Tengah

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - The Jawa Tengah Province BPS held a Strategic Indicator Release on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The data released included the Development of the Consumer Price Index, Farmer's Exchange Rate, Exports and Imports, Tourism, and Transportation.

In July 2024, Jawa Tengah experienced deflation of 0.13% with shallots as the largest contributor to deflation besides red chilies and tomatoes.

The Jawa Tengah Province Strategic Indicator Release was delivered by the Head of the Jawa Tengah Province BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih and was attended by the Assistant for Economics and Development of Jawa Tengah, Sujarwanto Dwiatmoko along with representatives of BI, OJK, Bulog, agencies/agencies, and the media.(HUMAS - Tik/Tro)
