Shallots to Chicken Meat Main Commodities Contributing to Deflation in Jawa Tengah

SEMARANG, jateng.bps.go.id - The Jawa Tengah Provincial BPS held a Strategic Indicator Release on Monday, September 2, 2024. The data released included the Development of the Consumer Price Index, Farmer's Exchange Rate, Tourism, and Transportation.

In August 2024, Jawa Tengah experienced deflation of 0.07% with shallots still the largest contributor to deflation besides chicken meat and chicken eggs.

In addition, the Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2024 was 113.80 or an increase of 0.31% compared to July. Then for tourism development, the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) and Average Length of Stay (RLM) indicators in July 2024 were 37.45% and 1.23 nights, respectively. In transportation development, the indicator for the number of arrivals (disembarkation) of air passengers in July 2024 was 176,576 people.

The release of the Jawa Tengah Province Strategic Indicators was delivered by the Head of the Jawa Tengah BPS, Endang Tri Wahyuningsih and attended by the Regional Secretary of Jawa Tengah Province, Sumarno and the Head of the Economic Bureau, Juli Emmylia along with representatives of BI, OJK, Bulog, agencies/institutions, and the media.
