Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Providing Accommodation and Food and Drink is one of the business fields that experienced significant growth in Central Java Province in the first quarter of 2024 on a y-on-y basis, namely 11.88 percent.
The rapid development of the restaurant business and the provision of food and drink is influenced, among other things, by changes in people's lifestyles, increasing public awareness of good quality food and drinks, technological developments, and ease of access to information and online transactions.
To obtain complete data on food and beverage supply businesses, especially those on a micro and small scale, BPS is carrying out the 2024 Food and Beverage Provision Business Survey (VREST-UMK).
So that field implementation can run smoothly, Central Java Province BPS is carrying out the 2024 UMK VREST Survey Officer Training in a hybrid manner. The training, which was attended by supervisory officers and field enumerators from 35 districts/cities throughout Central Java, was opened by the head of Central Java Province BPS, Dadang Hardiwan (6/5) online via an online zoom meeting.
He appealed to the participants to utilize training time optimally and efficiently, and to be proactive in discussions to find the best solutions if there are problems. Time management and monitoring data quality are also important points so that the survey can run smoothly, according to schedule and produce quality data.
The next training was carried out offline, taking place at the Metro Park view hotel in Semarang, and was closed by the Intermediate Expert Statistician, as well as the head of the Provincial BPS Price and Distribution statistics team, Arjuliwondo on May 8 2024.
