The Exchange Rate of Jawa Tengah Farmers in December 2020 was 101.49

Farmers Exchange Rate in December decreased -0.69%

Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) as an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas decreased -0.11% compared to November 2020.

The reduction of NTP in December was due to the price of agricultural commodities received by farmers which fell -0.27% lower than the price paid by farmers (Ib), namely for household consumption and production costs which increased by 0.42%. Ib increases due to an increase in household consumption prices or an inflation rate at the rural level of 0.55% and an increase in production costs by 0.16%. Rural inflation that occurs shows an increase in the purchasing power of farmers of Jawa Tengah at the end of 2020.

The NTP index from 102.19 in November to 101.49 in December 2020 was influenced by the decline of NTP in two subsectors, namely, food crops, -0.82% and hoticulture -1.87%. Meanwhile, the other three sub-sectors experienced an increase in index, namely Community Plantation Crops 0.43%, livestock 0.24%, and fisheries 0.92%.

The decrease in NTP for Food Plants was influenced by the decrease in the price of unhulled rice quality of GKG and GKP, both at the farmer level and at the milling level compared to November 2020.
