Santri are kiai students who are educated with compassion to be strong believers, their faith is not shaken by associations, interests, and differences. These students study at the Islamic boarding school. Apart from religious knowledge, in modern times students are also equipped with general knowledge so that the quality of intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence is balanced.

In Central Java, there are 3,787 Islamic boarding schools which have been proven historically to have given birth to a line of students who are devout to religion and love the country and the nation.
