July 9, 1976 was a historic day when the first Indonesian satellite was launched. The momentum of the new era of Indonesian telecommunications. The Palapa Satellite plays an important role because it facilitates communication in all parts of Indonesia.

Thanks to the palapa satellite, BPS activities are now easier to carry out, both online surveys and those using CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing).
