The event, which was held by the Central Statistics Agency, was housed in Building 3, 1st Floor of BPS, and was opened by the Head of the BPS RI Personnel Bureau, Sugeng Arianto, M.Sc. .
In his remarks, Sugeng revealed that functional officials not only received large amounts of credit obtained, but also provided large benefits that functional officials could provide to organizations, institutions and the state. The Functional Officer must think what he will do and what his job (to do). While structural officials think about what will be done for his men (what must be done).

Professional development has been a scourge for Functional officials. Therefore, in order to facilitate the functional functional officials of computer institutions in developing their competencies, BPS prepares scientific forum activities. These activities are carried out routinely. In the Computer Scientific Forum, the students present their writings whose presentations have passed a review from the assessment team at BPS.
