Should We Import Meat?

Should We Import Meat?

March 27, 2019 | BPS Activities

Should we import meat?
We hope that the question can be answered with the right policy based on accurate data so that it does not become an entrenched debate.
For the sake of heavy duty and responsibility that night until dawn our data is picked up. This is done by the Livestock Statistics Sub-Directorate of BPS-RI and the Statistics of Production of the BPS Jawa Tengah Province on 26 nights until March 27, 2019 morning followed the process of slaughtering livestock in RPH Magelang and Surakarta.
This activity was carried out to obtain the conversion rate of livestock life into carcasses, innards, wet skin and meat. Also to find out the level of accuracy of the weight estimates of RPH / slaughterhouse officers and the accuracy of routine cattle slaughtering data carried out by internal BPS officers so far.
The results of this study will be used as material for discussion in the FGD with related agencies in Yogyakarta, March 27-29 2019.
