Abstract

The 2020 Population Census (SP2020) is mandated by the Law on the Implementation of Statistics, and is in line with UN recommendations. The Central Bureau of Statistics carried out a Population Census to obtain data on the number, composition, distribution and characteristics of the Indonesian population towards One Indonesian Population Data.The series of SP2020 activities was divided into 2 stages, namely collecting population data on a short questionnaire (Short Form) and continued with data collection on a detailed questionnaire (Long Form) on a sample basis. The output of the Long Form SP2020 data collection is the availability of data on demographic parameters such as births, deaths and migration as well as other important information to monitor and evaluate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and RPJMN targets in the population sector.
