Abstract

The Gender Empowerment Index (IDG) describes the gap in human development achievement between men and women. by measuring the active participation of men and women in economic, political and decision-making activities.
The Central Java Gender Development Index in 2020 reached 92.18. Although the IPG score in Central Java is increasing, the IPG score is still below 100, so it can be concluded that in general, men are still higher than women in enjoying the results of development. In contrast to the Central Java IDG which was recorded higher than the National IDG, Central Java IDG was 71.73, which was actually lower than the National IDG which was recorded at 75.57. Achievement of both the IPG and IDG results, however, leaves no easy work and tasks, especially those related to the issue of disparities in human development achievements between genders.
