Abstract

  • In November 2021, Central Java experienced inflation of 0.34 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.62. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.
  • The main cause of inflation in Central Java in November 2021 is the increase in the price of broiler eggs, cooking oil, red chili, gold jewelry, and chicken meat. The main driver of inflation in Central Java was the decline in the prices of shallots, tomatoes, bananas, kale and pears.
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year November 2021 is 1.05 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2021 to November 2020) is 1.51 percent.
