Abstract

The number of poverty people (the population under the poverty line) in the province of Central Java in September 2011 amounted to 5.256 million people (16.21 percent), increased by 148.6 thousand people when compared with the poor in March 2011, which amounted to 5.107 million people (15.76 percent). The poverty line in Central Java conditions September 2011 was Rp. 217 440, - per capita per month.
