Semarang, jateng.bps.go.id - The 2026 Integrated Agricultural Survey (SITASI) marks a crucial step by the government in providing accurate and sustainable national agricultural data. Based on recommendations from the Global Strategy for Improving Agricultural and Rural Statistics (GSARS) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), SITASI is conducted in a 10-year cycle, combining the Core Module (KOR), which provides annual basic data, and the Rotation Module (ROTASI), which is collected periodically every 2–5 years.
BPS Jawa Tengah Province participated in the SITASI National Instructor Training, which was officially opened by Deputy for Production Statistics, M. Habibullah. In his remarks, he emphasized that amid growing concerns over climate change and the food crisis, the success of the agricultural sector is no longer measured solely by production output, but also by how resources, inputs, land, water, and waste are managed in an integrated manner.
The online training was held from September 28 to October 1, 2026. Rina Lusiana Handayanti served as the Lead Instructor, with 39 participants from BPS offices across Jawa Tengah. The training covered technical materials, discussions on data collection instruments, as well as an introduction to and hands-on practice using the FASIH application based on Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI).
The ultimate goal of integrating the Agricultural Census and SITASI is to fulfill the Minimum Set of Core Data, provide data to support government policy planning and research, and monitor the achievement of the national agricultural Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators. The integrated data are expected to help the government formulate appropriate climate adaptation strategies to maintain food security for communities in the future.
